1. Who we are
ALYCO ("we", "us") means Alyco Impex Inc., based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. You can reach us at hello@alyco.ca.
2. Our services
We offer certified data destruction, IT asset buyback, responsible recycling, and secure logistics for retired IT equipment across the Greater Toronto Area. Every job includes chain-of-custody logging and a per-device certificate.
3. Quotes and pickups
- Quotes are estimates based on the information you provide and are valid for 30 days.
- Final valuations depend on the actual grade and condition of received devices.
- Booked pickups can be rescheduled with 24 hours' notice at no cost.
- You confirm that you have the authority to arrange disposal of the devices you hand over and that they are your organisation's property or you have permission to release them.
4. Chain of custody
Once your devices are received and signed for by an ALYCO representative, chain of custody transfers to us. Before that point, devices remain your responsibility. We recommend keeping devices in a secure location until pickup.
5. Data destruction standard
Data destruction is performed to NIST SP 800-88 Rev. 1. Drives that cannot be wiped to that standard are physically shredded. A Certificate of Data Destruction is issued for each device, verifiable at alyco.ca/verify.
You agree to remove any devices or media you don't want processed before the pickup. Anything included in the handover is treated as authorised for destruction or resale.
6. Buyback payments
- Buyback offers are shared before any device is resold.
- Payment is issued after data destruction is complete and the offer is accepted.
- Payments are in Canadian dollars unless otherwise agreed in writing.
7. Client portal
The portal is provided as-is to give you a live view of your pickups and certificates. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter and for keeping your account credentials safe.
8. Liability
We take great care with the devices you entrust to us. Our liability is limited to the replacement value of the devices while in our custody, and in aggregate to the amount paid (or payable) for the job in question. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
9. Confidentiality
Information you share with us (organisation names, device details, notes) is treated as confidential and used only to deliver the services described in these terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada. Any disputes will be handled in the courts of Ontario.
11. Changes
We may update these terms — for example, when we add a service or a subprocessor. Material changes will be posted here with a new "last updated" date, and active portal users will be notified by email.
